Venlo, 28. September 2010, Scheuten Solar has implemented a turnkey EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) project on the roof of the modern float glass factory f | glass in Osterweddingen, Germany (a joint venture between Scheuten and Interpane). The installation of nearly 4000 solar panels was financed by Amstel Lease by means of a lease set-up. The solar panels have an output of almost 800 kWp. The project is the second collaboration between Scheuten Solar and Amstel Lease, who previously implemented a 100 kWp project in the Netherlands together.
One of the success factors of this project is the financial set-up from Amstel Lease. Account Manager International from Amstel Lease Paul Meijer: "Solar panels will increasingly be contributing to the sustainable energy needs of companies. Amstel Lease knows the economic value of these panels as well as how to translate this into appropriate financial solutions. Thanks to our international experience we are also up-to-date on the legal pitfalls and financial opportunities in surrounding countries."
"I’m proud of this joint step into the German market", says Leon Pulles, Director Project Development at Scheuten Solar. "A project of this size underlines the partnership between Amstel Lease and Scheuten Solar. In addition to this, the turnkey installation of the close on 4000 solar panels was implemented by our own Project Realization department. This shows that we have all the requisite knowledge in-house to carry out large-scale PV projects from the development phase right through to completion."
