Berlin, 18. May 2011, Inventux Technologies AG has made it into the Top 3 for the Deutscher Gründerpreis (German Founders Award) in the “Climbers” category. In the eyes of the Gründerpreis jury, Inventux is already one of the most successful young companies in Germany. This year’s prize will be awarded on 28 June 2011 at ZDF Zollernhof in Berlin.
The Deutscher Gründerpreis is an initiative of “stern” magazine, the Sparkassen savings banks, the German public TV station ZDF and Porsche. It is the most prestigious award for entrepreneurial activities in Germany. The jury explained their selection of Inventux as follows: “The company has developed solar modules that enable greater utilisation of solar energy while at the same time using fewer raw materials and less primary energy during their production. Inventux has radically simplified the manufacturing process of photovoltaic modules and is thereby positioned to reduce the production cost of modules, as well as the cost of generating solar power, over the long term.”
Inventux’s CEO, Volko Löwenstein, explains: “We are delighted to be nominated for the Deutscher Gründerpreis. At Inventux, we are building the foundation for the long-term competitiveness of photovoltaics and working to eliminate the need for support.”
This year will be the tenth time the Deutscher Gründerpreis has been awarded. Besides the award, the nominees each receive specially tailored coaching along with a two-year mentorship from a member of the initiative’s board of trustees. Alongside Inventux, 4Jet Sales+Service GmbH and Orwo Net AG have also been nominated in the “Climbers” category.
